Gedi says the free camp will see persons living with disabilities screened by specialists.

Speaking in Wajir Town on Saturday, Gedi said the free medical camp will take place at the Township Primary school.

Top county officials are expected to attend the launch.

Gedi said that persons living with disabilities have been abandoned by the society.

She said that no one is willing to champion the plight of persons living with disabilities.

"We will have a free medical camp for persons living with disabilities and urge them to show up for specialized screening and counselling," she said.

Gedi pleaded with the Wajir county government to champion the rights of persons living with disabilities.

She said that the constitution agitates for equality among all Kenyans.

Gedi pledged to champion the interests of Wajir residents without fear or favor.
