After Hivisasa broke a story about the interdiction of 41 school heads from Gusii region, Kenyans have reacted.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) interdicted the 41 teachers for disrupting and boycotting the Competence-based Curriculum training held in April.
KUPPET Secretary in Kisii County Albert Omari protested the move saying they will unite in solidarity with KNUT until the interdicted teachers get their justice terming the decision by TSC as an act of impunity.
"This is total impunity. We are sad because we have realised the procedure that was followed was against the law. The headteachers were instructed to hand over to their deputies and this is the most serious intimidation and victimisation that has always been directed to our teachers," said Omari.
Kisii central KNUT coordinator Augustine Mogabo said that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) should stop harassing teachers.
"It is an insult to Kisii county teachers for TSC to interdict 41 teachers who boycotted the ongoing competence-based curriculum training across the country. There are procedures which must be followed to interdict teachers. TSC should reverse the decision and do justice to the 41 teachers," said Mogabo.
Tasur Paul Kisharah, a Kenyan on social media accused Education CS George Magoha of running the ministry "like a military camp".
"I am very shocked how can C's run the ministry like a military camp," he stated.
