“I don’t have to to go all the way to town to book a bus. I do it at the comfort of my home,” that’s the response I got from Fred Nyagaka, one of the many Kenyans who have discovered a more efficient way of booking bus tickets.

Nyagaka says that using BuuPass, an online bus ticket booking service, managing his many long-distance bus trips has now become easier.

“It makes planning easier. My experience with BuuPass has been very good so far. What I like most about it is that it is very convenient,” he said.

“Another good thing about BuuPass is that I can book for someone, for example my folks back at home. I have used BuuPass 18 times so far, that actually proves I am a frequent customer,” he added when asked why he always uses the online platform to securely book his trips.

But why did he dump the age-old way of going to the bus station to book a ticket?

“The challenges I previously faced booking manually was having to go all the way to town and sometimes end up not getting a bus after all that hustle.”

Mr Nyagaka says he mainly uses the service to travel on the Kisumu and Kisii routes.

He says that his wish is for more Kenyans to know about the bus ticketing service so that they end the pain that comes with manual booking of bus tickets.

“I feel BuuPass has not advertised itself widely so most people do not know much about their services and the buses someone can use BuuPass to book.”
