The lady who has over the years been leading a quiet life on Monday hit the public arena with a corporate event that many may interpret as her move to join the murky waters of Kenyan politics.

Tessie Mudavadi held a fundraiser for patients under the care of the Nairobi Hospice with her husband shortly after the event twitting how he was proud of her work.

"My wife Tessie led Kenyans in raising funds for patients under the care of Nairobi Hospice," the former Sabatia MP said in a tweet.

"Proud of her. She urged the government to invest in infrastructure for treatment and palliative care for cancer patients. In this endeavour, our Foundation continues partnering with various players."

Nairobi Hospice is an initiative that gears towards helping patients with health complications and mainly focuses on people with cancer and HIV/Aids.

Mudavadi has been a politician since former President Daniel Arap Moi's regime.

He once served as the country's Vice President (under Moi) as well Cabinet Minister in various dockets.

Through his strong political influence, he can haggle for an elective post for his wife in 2022.

It will not be a surprise that Tessie will vie for an elective post in 2022 as her Monday's event may be used to elevate her name to the national level.
