Journalist Jacque Maribe and her fiancée Jowie Irungu will spend six more days behind bars.
Justice James Wakiaga said he will give his ruling on the bail application on Tuesday, October 30.
Maribe has been behind bars with her lover Jowie over the murder of Monica Kimani.
Jowie is being held as the key suspect in the murder of the businesswoman who was killed at her Kilimani apartment.
Jowie is said to have been the last person seen at her place on the night she was murdered.
The two lovers denied having killed Monica when they were charged before high court judge Justice Jesse Lessit.
The court was a theatre of legal fireworks as state counsel Catherine Mwaniki engaged defense lawyers Cliff Ombeta and Katwa Kigen.
Lawyers for both sides made their presentation on why the accused should be given bail or not given bail.
Justice Wakiaga said he needed time to go study the arguments of all the sides.
