With Uhuru set for his first tour to Nyanza since October, Raila will jointly host him with Tanzanian President John Magufuli at Nyatike common border.

Apparently, Magufuli, a close ally to Raila, has been at loggerheads with Uhuru with their deteriorating relationships escalating in 2017.

"I want to confirm that Raila will be hosting Magufuli and President Uhuru at Nyatike in the spirit of handshake," said ODM Chief Oduor Ong'wen in the party's group.

He added: "The three will later hold a public rally in Migori Town where they are expected to address a mammoth crowd."

During the hotly contested 2017 polls in Kenya, Migori was severely hit and recorded at least ten deaths with police accused of using excessive force.

On Tuesday at his Capitol Hill offices, Raila hosted various leaders from Nyanza to discuss the Friday's visit.

Last year, Magufuli impounded more that 2000 cows belonging to Maasai community of Kenya who he accused of trespass as relationship between the two countries hit another low.
