Most residents claimed that Mr. Nyachae should stop looking for the house help Lilian Maina since he is a wealthy man.

"Nyachae was paying the house help peanuts. It is an opportunity which came on her way. Nyachae's stinginess has caused all his troubles," said Innocent Ongori.

Another resident Stella Kemunto said the suspected house help should not surrender to police.

"Mrs. Maina should relocate from this country for several months so that authorities can forget. The money she escaped with is good for her to change her life completely," she noted.

Peter Masega reiterated that Nyachae's family members are rich and there is no problem with the house help stealing the money.

"We have poor families who should be helped but Nyachae could not even give Sh100 to anyone, during his tenure he was selfish," said Masega.

Robinson Chagara argued that police should carry out investigations and find the alleged thief.

"Let the maid surrender before the police get her," appealed Chagara

He however wondered what the money was doing in the house.

"Why should they keep such amount of money inside the house? Nevertheless, no one deserves to be stolen from however rich they are," said Chagara.
