In response, the registrar has removed Osotsi's name from the ANC party membership and proceeded to notify him of the same.

"The name of Hon. Godfrey Atieno Osotsi has been removed from the party membership register of Amani National Congress (ANC) as decided by your party. By copy of this letter, the Honourable member is notified of the same," reads the letter in part, as was seen by Citizen Digital.

This therefore means that Osotsi is on the verge of losing his seat in parliament, since he was nominated by ANC, which has since expelled him from the party.

Two months ago, the party passed a resolution to expel Osotsi following a special National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

This was after the party parliamentary committee proposed his expulsion on grounds of misusing party funds in the run up to the 2017 elections.

The MP who has also been accused of indiscipline and closeness to the ODM party has the option of moving to court to challenge his ouster.
