Even as government sent detectives to probe mysterious murder of Sharon Otieno, a group of young ladies and men have openly clashed over dating and relationships.
Ms. Otieno, 24, was murdered after abduction with Nation journalist Barack Oduor by goons suspected to have been funded by a local politician.
And in Nyamira, a group of men accused young ladies of abandoning them for older people.
"I don't see why we should even sympathize with the lady. She was evidently dating old people. That's what she deserved," wrote Dennis Onyiego.
Another user, Steward Oyugi added: "They leave us when poor and run for money. That's what they get anyway."
But ladies could stomach none of that as some asked Kenyans to also condemn the old men purportedly exploiting them.
"It is prudent that we also question those luring young women into relationships. Dating them doesn't justify murder," added Purity Bisieri in Nyamira Politics WhatsApp group.
Another user, Edith said: "There is nothing wrong dating older people. A woman must be taken care off."
Already, women politicians now wants those mentioned in the murder to be arrested and subjected to the law.
Homa Bay MP Gladys Wanga insisted that the politicians mentioned should be arrested.
"It is wrong to take such a young life. We want justice and the DCI should prove by arresting those mighty people being dragged to the case."
According to Oduor, he was investigating a case in which a politician had reportedly impregnated Sharon and failed to take responsibility.
Mr. Obado's personal assistant Michael Oyamo has since been arrested in connection to the mysterious death.
