Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday may have done shoddy research on the number of projects identified, funded and completed by Jubilee administration in Nyamira, it has been established.
In his 20 minutes speech at Kemera market when he launched Kemera-Kiendege-Gachuba-Girango-Keumbu road, Ruto named four projects that had reportedly been completed by government.
"As government, we are determined to ensure road networks are done to facilitate easy movements in regions that are agriculturally productive.
"We have completed Metamaywa-Metamaywa-Mosobeti, Kebirigo-Mosobeti and Kemera-Amabuko projects. Also, the Chabera- Chepilat road."
But a close look on the ground, only Chebilat-Chabera road has been completed. The Metamaywa-Mosobeti road is 2 kilometres away from completion and was initiated by grand coalition government while Kebirigo-Mosobeti road is only 40 per cent complete.
Former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has asked DP Ruto to be 'genuine' in his development agenda across the country.
"It's quite embarrassing that he says even Kemera-Amabuko project is complete yet despite myself pushing for funding, contractor was elbowed out and nothing is ongoing."
In June, Ruto relaunched Kemera-Amabuko, which has Manga-Motemomwamu as annexure but the road still remains abandoned at Magombo market.
Area MP Shadrack Mose has been subjected to immense criticism on grounds that he never makes follow-ups on projects launched or relaunched by the state.
