Khalwale says his government will not buy vehicles for County Executives should he become governor. He stated that County ministers will have to use their personal cars to work.

"If I become the governor of Kakamega, I am going to shock a lot of people on how we are going to spend money in ferrying people to the office,” the former Senator said during an interview on NTV’s AM live on Tuesday.

Khalwale further said that minister's in his administration will have to walk or use bodaboda or even fly if they can afford so long as they get to the office on time.

The former Ikolomani MP noted that money for buying vehicles will be channelled to prioritised development projects that will benefit the people.

He also exuded confidence that he will clinch the seat in the coming poll.

In another interview on Milele FM Drive on Thursday last week, the former Senator said that he has a big vision for Kakamega residents.

Khalwale pledged to offer world-class services to locals should they elect him as their next governor.

He lost bid for the seat in the 2017 general election to Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya who is serving his last term in office.
