We often forget that interviews are not as important as our CVs. Sometimes we think the main issue passing the interview forgetting that it is through the CVs that we qualify for the interviews. Today we are learning some of the things that will definitely turn your CV into trash.
Here are 4 things that will only make your useless;
1. Using texts with too many different colours
This means nothing different from childishness. Making a CV with many different colours will not make it attractive but useless instead.
I advise you that you use blending colours if you have to use a coloured one. If not requested then keep it black texts on white ream.
2. Terrible grammar
Do not try to use sophisticated English on your CV. Just keep it simple and understandable.
Giving your boss hard time trying to understand your CV only lowers your chances of landing the job or even qualifying for the interview. Use simple and correct English.
3. 'Fancy' fonts
In Microsoft Word, there are a number of fonts and font styles available but it should be noted that these fonts have their own different places to be applied.
For the case of CV, try using the official fonts and fonts styles. Avoid being fancy in the name of decorating the CV to impress your boss - it won't.
4. Irrelevant achievements
What's the point in writing achievements and experiences that you haven't attained. Be loyal in your CV and write only the things you have gone through.
Again, do not include irrelevant experiences. Only include those relevant to the job you are applying for.
