Legendary Congolese musician Mose Fan Fan is dead.

Fan, who became famous because of his hit Papa Lolo, met his untimely death on Saturday in his apartment along Thika Superhighway in Nairobi.

The singer, who won the hearts of many with his unique sense of music and prowess in lyrics writing died at the age of 75. 

He was set to record another song before his death. 

He had partnered with local artists including Paddy Makani and Disco Longwa in the new project before his demise. He will be remembered because of his talent in playing the guitar.

He worked with talented names including Franco's OK Jazz in 1972. 

Cartoonist Paul Kelemba aka Maddo confirmed the death of the musician. He described him as a legend who left behind a mark in the entertainment industry during his active years.

"I regard him as one of Africa's finest guitarist and music writers. He has been a frequent visitor to Nairobi from 2015 collaborating with Ketebul Music and Tabu Osusa," he said, as quoted by Standard. 

Before his death, Mose loved Kenya. He hosted endless shows in the country. He has a huge fan base in the country. His music was played in several clubs in the country.
