Melida Auma, Sharon Otieno's mother, delivered a heart-felt eulogy as her daughter's remains were buried in Magare.
Dressed in a green ensemble, Melida directly addressed her daughter, who lay lifeless in a brown coffin, and called on her not to give her killers any peace.
"I know you are not dead but just asleep. Please keep an eye on those who killed you. Don’t allow them any peace. My daughter is not dead," she said as she battled tears.
Sharon was buried on Friday, weeks after being found dead and disemboweled at the Kodera Forest.
Suspects in her murder have been behind bars as the case continues.
Migori Governor Okoth Obado has denied being the mastermind of the gruesome killing that has gripped the Kenyan public for days on end.
