The love for bananas in the nation of Kisii, has hit new heights with the inception of Ndizi TV.
Ndizi TV is an online based movie site that majorly focuses on locally produced movies, especially those in whose theme revolves around the Kisii culture.
The "TV" features small clips of comedy based Ekegusii short stories, told in the deep village setting of the Kisii highlands.
One of the most popular series produced by Ndizi TV is the 'obokayayu' a Kisii name which roughly translates to a cunning character. In the movie, the characters featured are in a relationship or are trying to get into a relationship but they keep facing hurdles.
The lead female character in the series, Kemunto, has an unmatched appetite for ndizi (bananas) and every time the hunter, Osoro, has to present a Ndizi to the lady.
