Former Constitutional and Legal Affairs minister Martha Karua has ruled out possibilities of running for a member of parliament seat, arguing that she's already served in the capacity.
A Twitter user by the name Mohammed had proposed to have her in parliament, arguing that Kenyans need her services in the August House.
"Hope to see you in parliament one day. Kenyans needs you," tweeted the user, in apparent reference to legislations in parliament.
In her response, the former presidential hopeful said: "Not in that space ! Been there done that."
Ms Karua, a former Magistrate, was first elected to parliament in 1992 to represent Gichugu on Democratic Party ticket.
In 2003, she was appointed minister during the Narc regime. She served as minister for ten years. In 2013, she contested for president but lost.
The former minister would yet again give a trial on Kirinyaga gubernatorial elections but she lost to Ann Waiguru. Recently, she ruled out endorsing DP Ruto for presidency in 2002.
“There's this statement circulating on Whatsapp that @MarthaKarua has endorsed @WilliamsRuto for president. Those are #FakeNews @MarthaKarua has and will NEVER endorse him. And @MarthaKarua lead's NARC-KENYA PARTY,” she wrote on Twitter.
