Over 300 workers in Nyamira County will not receive their November salaries, it has emerged.
Governor John Nyagarama through the county secretary Eric Aori said the workers have been absent from their respective work stations.
Aori maintained that the county will not process their payment until they explain why they have not been reporting to work.
"Over 300 workers in Nyamira won't receive their November salaries because they have been not reporting to their respective work stations. The county won't continue paying lazy staff members who are not delivering," he said.
The County Secretary further revealed that the county has over 4500 county workers.
Aori noted that last week he made impromptu visits to various departments in the county where he found several workers absent from work without permission.
"Those who will miss their salaries didn't record their names last week when I made an abrupt visit to various departments in the county," he added.
He assured that the county government is focused on improving service delivery to the electorates.
Aori warned officers responsible for processing salaries against paying the workers who don't report to work daily.
