The Member of Parliament further took on opposition leaders who have been critising the government on borrowing. He stated that the various parliamentary committees responsible will deliberate on the critical issues concerning the economy of the country.

Ichung'wa was speaking in a Harambee at Gikondi Catholic Church in Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri County, on Sunday. The event was graced by Deputy President William Ruto.

'The borrowing rate will be deliberated by respective leaders in different parliamentary groups so as to chart a way forward on the economic progression of the country," he said.

His Kieni counterpart Kanini Kega called on dialogue to solve fuel crisis currently affecting the country.

"As leaders, we will need to sit down with the President and his Deputy and chart a way forward regarding the fuel issue because everyone is affected," he said.
