Kalonzo said the criticism against him for speaking his mind is uncalled for.

According to Kalonzo, he has no apology to make for asking to work with President Kenyatta.

Speaking at Mwingi Level 4 Hospital on Wednesday when he launched the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation's free medical camp, the former Vice President asked politicians questioning him to calm down and reason with him.

Kalonzo said it is not time for politicians to bash each other.

He said the country’s unity is what matters most.

Kalonzo asked Kenyans to remain united and peaceful.

He exuded confidence that the Building Bridges Committee being co-chaired by Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji and his Busia counterpart Amos Wako will bear fruits.

Kalonzo has been under criticism over the "mtu wa mkono" remark he made during the burial of his father a month ago.

A section of Kamba politicians led by former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama bashed Kalonzo over the remark.

The politicians termed Kalonzo’s remark as demeaning to the Kamba community.

Kalonzo is among the top politicians who have declared their interests in the 2022 presidential election.
