The murder trial against Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his co-accused Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero will start in May 2019.
High Court presiding Judge Jessie Lessit on Wednesday slated the trial to start from 6th to 17th May 2019.
Lessit further ruled that the pre-trial conference will be held on February 14, 2019.
The Judge ordered the prosecution to supply witness' statements and evidence exhibits to the defence lawyers before the pre-trial date.
The prosecution says it has lined up 30 witnesses to testify against Obado, Oyamo and Obiero.
Obado, Oyamo and Obiero are charged with the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby.
The trio pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
On Wednesday, Justice Lessit freed Obado on Sh5 Million bail with two surety of similar amount.
The Judge declined to grant bail to Oyamo and Obiero noting that the evidence tabled by the prosecution against the two is strong hence the denial of bail.
Obado has been in remand for the last 33 days since his arrest on September 21.
