Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino has pledged to improve sanitary conditions of Donholm Primary School.
He says he has been touched by calls by parents and other stakeholders who reached out to him to address the situation that has seemingly gotten out of hand.
"The Donholm Primary School community of parents, teachers and students approached me regarding the sorry state of their sanitation facilities that were making it difficult for them to participate effectively in school activities," he posted on Facebook.
On visiting the school, the Embakasi East legislator was appalled by the situation in which the school's toilets are in.
"I personally went on a fact-finding tour and my heart was broken to find the toilets in a truly dilapidated condition unfit for human use. I resolved that my people will not continue to live like animals while I am Member of Parliament," he contended.
He pledged to prioritise renovation works of the toilets in the coming weeks as well as ensure that the school and community at large gets access to water following the installation of a water tower plant.
