Den of death, raw sewage flows into rivers in Kisii

Speaking in Kisii, GWASCO Managing Director Kisii County Osborn Nanga apologized to the residents citing the sewage went unnoticed for a week because its located in a remote area.

"I apologize to the residents because this sewage is in a remote area that is why we could not easily notice. Thank you for bringing this issue out. My officers were on the ground on Sunday and the problem was solved and I can confidently confirm that River Riokombe is now clean," said Osborn.

He has warned those who construct sewage lines for themselves without involving GWASCO for clear instructions and has called upon the public to urgently report to their offices in Kisii Town once they spot a leaking sewage line or tank for immediate action to be taken.

"We have already summoned those who are going against the correct ways of approaching installation and we will deal with them accordingly. We call upon members of the public to report to our offices immediately they spot a leaking tank or sewer line and we will urgently respond before the situation gets worse like Riokombe case," he warned.
