President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa is in hot soup.
This is after two journalists who were arrested over photoshopping Cleophas Malala’s nudes said they did so after orders from Echesa.
The two said Echesa told them to crop Malala’s photo and replace it with a nude one and spread the lewd photos on social media.
“The minister sent the photo to me and told me to edit the photo to portray that is Kakamega senator’s (nude) photo,” one of the journalists said.
The suspects in the incident had been at the KICC police station over the matter.
"It is a very unfortunate incident that a person of CS Echesa’s caliber can use us to taint the image of his colleague in government,” one of the suspects said.
The CS has since been summoned to the KICC police station to record a statement over the matter.
The suspects might be charged with the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes law and risk being fined Sh5 million each.
