An angry woman burnt her husband's 'mpango wa kando' with hot water after she found them red handed in the act.
This happened on Tuesday evening at Ikonge market in Nyamira County. Witnesses said William Ong'uti has been having an illicit love affair with the woman living at a rental house in the market.
"Ong'uti lacks respect to his wife. He has been moving around with the woman whom he pays rent for at one of the rental houses in the area.
"His wife, Matilda Moraa, has made several complains but the husband has never listened," said Evans Achuti.
Achuti said the man left home on Tuesday at around 5 pm to the lady's house when his wife boiled water, put in a thermos and followed him.
"Moraa boiled water and put in a thermos. She raided the single-roomed house and found her husband with the woman having sex. She poured hot water on the woman and burnt her thighs and hands," he noted.
Area assistant chief Benson Mogaka said the man escaped and left the two women fighting.
He said the man's mpango wa kando sustained serious burn injuries and she is currently being treated at Nyamira County hospital.
