Dennis Onyango was stripped by his colleagues before taking the forceful shower. According to his fellow boda boda riders at the market centre, the customers had begun complaining about Onyango's awful smell.

"Our customers are now beginning to say that every boda boda operators do not shower. He is our brother and we respect him but if he has to work with us he must be clean," Richard Kemboi stated.

Onyango is said to have gone for almost two months without showering. His colleagues were forced to take action because of the rising complaints from the public.

"It is beginning to affect our business as most clients are saying they can't put up with the smell. Since he can't stop working, he will have to be clean," Samwel Wanjala who is also a boda boda rider said.

Onyango who tried to resist but was overpowered had to shower with only his underwear on.

Some of the eyewitnesses though, opposed this move to force him into having a shower in the full glare of the public.

"It is not good for a grown-up man to be put under such humiliation. They should have just told him instead of being forced," Jane Cherop stated.

Onyango persevered the shame to the end with his colleagues hoping he had learned a lesson.
