Okoth wants action taken against the hospital management.

The MP said it is shocking that some people can terminate lives of innocent infants.

“Proper and thorough investigations should be conducted and culprits found culpable charged in a court of law,” he said in a phone interview on Monday.

The MP said that the case is pure murder and no one should be left scot free.

He said that such incidents continue to taint the image and reputation of Pumwani hospital.

On Monday, bodies of 12 infants were found stuffed in boxes at the Pumwani hospital.

The infants are said to have died after a generator went off on Sunday night causing the incubators to fail.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko who made an impromptu visit at the maternity hospital revealed the shocking news.

Sonko said that the hospital was trying to conceal the incident from the public.
