It appears that the former Gatanga lawmaker has since managed to bring together a group of Jubilee politicians under the title 'Mt Kenya and Diaspora Leaders Forum'.

The forum consists of Jubilee leaders who are just like him opposed to the DP, and which also enjoys the backing of the opposition side of the political divide.

Also included was a delegation from the independence KANU party which is led by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, Ruto's sworn rival in Rift Valley politics.

On Sunday, Murathe led the group of over 20 politicians to Gatanga constituency, where they once again aimed their guns at the DP, firing shots at him over his interference in the war against corruption.

Present leaders included MPs Maina Kamanda (nominated), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay), TJ Kajwang (Ruaraka), James Nyikal (Seme) and Joshua Kuttuny (Cherangany).

Others were William Kamket (Tiaty), Muranga Senator Irungu Kang'ata and area MP Nduati Ngugi, former area MP Peter Kenneth and Kathiani's Robert Mbui, according to the Nation.

Also present were Mercy Gakuyo, Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba, Nairobi County Speaker Beatrice Elachi and Saboti lawmaker Caleb Amisi.

The leaders accused the DP Ruto team which has questioned the truce between president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition boss Raila Odinga of trying to scuttle the newfound unity.

They also vowed to make national rounds in support of the ongoing purge on graft and to pressure the government to get more serious on nabbing and prosecuting the corrupt.
