Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Monica Juma, and her Interior counterpart Dr Fred Matiang’i are currently in Washington DC, United States of America (USA).
The duo led a delegation to the USA where they are set to hold talks on various aspects including security.
The delegation from Kenya will meet a delegation from the United State on Tuesday for an inaugural bilateral strategic dialogue.
An official from the Foreign Affairs ministry, who spoke to the Daily Nation, revealed that the two nations will sign agreements on various issues during the meeting.
“The two countries are expected to sign the agreement to guide the Strategic Dialogue and the Security Governance Initiative Joint Action Plan, to enhance civilian security and governance cooperation,” the official said.
Kenya has been enjoying cordial ties with the US since the retirement of former President Barack Obama.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his US counterpart Donald Trump have been working closely for the sake of economic growth of both nations.
The US has assured Kenya of its supports in handling major issues facing its citizens including terror attacks from militia groups.
