Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has revealed what he told lawyer Miguna Miguna shortly before he presided over the unofficial swearing-in of opposition chief Raila Odinga on January 30.
Khalwale on Wednesday said he had advised Miguna to abandon the planned swearing-in of Raila as the event was illegal and because it would cause problems for him.
Miguna, however, Khalwale said, ignored the advice and proceeded to swear-in Raila.
"I can't say anything now. When I warned Miguna Miguna before the so-called swearing in of 30th January 2018, he blocked me!" the former Kakamega Senator said.
Khalwale who is also a former Ikolomani MP made the revelation in reference to Raila's statement on Tuesday in which he distanced himself from Miguna who he said had abused him after being deported.
"I do not want to talk about Miguna Miguna. You know how he has treated me and the things he has said about me," Raila said during the interview with Citizen television hosted by Hussein Mohamed.
Miguna is presently in Canada where he was deported after he swore in Raila on January 30th at Nairobi's Uhuru Park grounds.
He was arrested in connection to the event and deported to Canada.
The outspoken lawyer has been throwing 'insults' to Raila who he claims did not protect him after the swearing in.
