An elected MCA in Nyamira County has fired warning shots to area Governor John Nyagarama.
Manga ward MCA Enock Ogori said Nyagarama should not ignore residents who publicly opposed the names of 12 members who were sworn in to serve at Nyamira County municipality.
"The electorates' demands should be given priority. I am appealing to Nyagarama to act swiftly and ensure the complains the residents raised are addressed," he said.
The ward representative maintained that impunity won't continue in the county without any tangible development.
He ruled that the names of the 12 board members must be dismissed for new members to be appointed.
"The county boss should consult residents before appointing people into the municipality to avoid unnecessary opposition. Nyamira locals deserve inclusivity and not discrimination," added the MCA.
The MCA dismissed claims that the governor has bribed MCA so that he can continue running the county as his own village kiosk.
"No one has received bribe as some residents are claiming so that the governor can continue with his impunity. As MCAs we are focused to ensure development is realizing in the county," he stated.
