A popular MP is accused of disappearing from a local pub after consuming liquor and food worth Sh30,000, it has emerged.
Mr. Ben Momanyi of Borabu is said to have walked out unnoticed with his crew without paying the balance last year in April.
A lady identified as Zipporah, who served the MP and his entourage and who has since been subjected by the Windspark management to clear the debt, is calling for justice.
"I served the MP along with former senator Mong'are Okong'o. They had come for launching of a CD by Kwasa Kwasa band.
"He disappeared and efforts to reach him for months now have been futile. I have been struggling to pay the debt and sometimes am forced to go without pay," lamented Zipporah, a single mother.
In an interview with the reporter, Ms. Zipporah also said the management had also tried to reach the second term MP but all in vain.
Efforts to reach the MP for comment were not successful as well since he could neither respond to text messages or phone calls.
The populist Wiper MP is also a member of powerful Parliamentary Service Commission.
Mr. Momanyi is no stranger to controversy and in recent months, Nairobi boss Mike Sonko took him to court over Sh58 million which his law firm was reportedly paid for no service offered.
