Deputy President William Ruto has been asked to stop opposing merging of counties.
Okioma Omwancha, a former Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament said reducing the number of counties will help in lowering the country's hiked wage bill.
"Counties must be merged to reduce the number of elected leaders in this country. DP Ruto is day dreaming opposing the reduction of counties because he won't get any support from Kenyans who are tired with the increased wage bill," said Omwancha.
He insisted that DP Ruto must focus on helping his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta to serve Kenyans.
"The Jubilee government under Uhuru's leadership has Big 4 Agenda to implement but it is worrying DP Ruto is busy opposing merging of counties instead of concentrating on service delivery to electorates," Omwancha stated.
According to the vocal politician, DP Ruto is desperate and scared about 2022 general elections.
"Ruto has realized he won't get President Uhuru's endorsement in 2022 and now he is loitering across the country to woe Kenyans to vote for him. Kenyans won't be cheated easily by his selfishness to get power," he added.
