Nairibi-based activist and blogger Robert Alai has ridiculed President Uhuru Kenyatta after he moved Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed to Sports, Culture and Heritage ministry.
Amina replaced CS Rashid Echesa who was sacked through an Executive Order from the State House on Friday morning.
Alai asserted that Amina’s reassignment to Sports docket was a proof that Uhuru holds Kenya's sportsmen with 'so much contempt'.
Before Echesa's appointment, the crucial ministry was led by Hassan Wario who was sacked after Uhuru's reelection over what was reported as incompetence.
The blogger further said Amina doesn't deserve to be in the Cabinet since she has allegedly grabbed properties belonging to the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) situated near the State House, Nairobi.
"You fire Rashid Echesa then take a fat, clueless, tactless and lazy Amina Mohamed to head sports. You really hold sportsmen in this country with so much contempt. They only deserve complete nincompoops? Ok!!! Amina arudishe nyumba za NSSF near State House pia," Alai said.
Also finding fault with Amina's transfer to the new docket, city journalist Mukami Wambora observed that the sports ministry deserves to be led by a person with background in sports, a qualification that the new minister lacks.
"Dear President @UKenyatta , just spit balling here but maybe you could try and appoint a Sports CS who actually has a background in sports and see how that works?" posted Wambora, sports anchor at Citizen TV.
