Deputy President William Ruto has said that he is ready to lead the country.
Speaking on Friday, the DP stated that he has ideas to transform the country and Kenyans should support him during the 2022 polls.
He made the remarks on Thursday at Tenges Boys’ High School in Baringo Central after launching the 45km Ainobmoi-Barwessa road and water projects.
The DP maintained that it's only good leaders who can spur economic growth.
“I have several ideas on how we can improve the country as my competitors keep on spreading propaganda and cheap politics. I need your support to give me strength to serve all Kenyans," said Ruto.
During the trip, Ruto was accompanied by his wife Rachel
Ruto emphasised that the time for politics is over and it’s time to focus on the Big Four agenda which is aimed at transforming the country.
Since the March 9 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga, questions have been raised regarding Ruto's 2022 bid.
Pundits argue that the truce between the two leaders might be used to lock Ruto out of 2022.
