Mombasa County Deputy Governor, Dr. William Kingi, is a learned leader. Governor Joho’s assistant is an Msc and PHD holder in Human Resource Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
Kingi was a senior Human Resource Management lecturer at the Technical University of Mombasa. While at this institution, he lectured Masters in Business Administration and Masters of Science in HRM classes.
The subjects that he specialised in included counselling at work place, organisational behaviour, human resource management consultancy, change management, training and development, research methods, strategic management, human resource management practices and human resource management.
Kingi has also held several management and administrative positions in the education sector.
While at the Technical University of Mombasa, Kingi was the chairman of Business Studies Department. He was then promoted to the position of Dean, School of Business.
Outside education sector, Kingi has also held leadership positions. He was the Managing Director, Real Estate Management Agency at Hawk Consult in Nairobi.
Locally, he was a member of Board of Directors at Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company Ltd.
