A one-on-one phone interview with Jones' manager on Friday morning revealed that the Kenyan hip-hop star has cancelled his show at the Kesses-based university.

The show had been scheduled to take place on Friday night during the freshers night.

"Khaligraph will not be performing at Moi University. He cancelled the show since we could not reach an agreement with the organizers," the manager said.

It is alleged that the disagreement between the organizers stemmed from the superstar's performance fee.

Khaligraph Jones had been scheduled to perform alongside Kenrazy and Dufla at the annual university event.

Speaking exclusively to hivisasa.com, Kenrazy, on the other hand, confirmed that he will be performing at the event.

A close source has also revealed that Khaligraph Jones may be replaced by Chipuka female singer and also Kenrazy's wife Sosuun.

The news comes as a big disappointment to most of the students who were expecting the artist to perform during the event.

"I am a big fan of Khaligraph and the main reason I was eagerly awaiting the show was that I wanted to see him perform," Dennis Oluoch a first-year student said.

This is not the first time a singer has cancelled his show at Moi University's freshers' night. King Kaka was also once forced to cancel his show.
