Even as he continues firing salvos at ODM leader Raila Odinga, Migori Governor Okoth Obado now says that he has nothing personal against the former Prime Minister.
Obado who has been a thorn in the flesh of Raila Odinga and ODM after openly rejecting the party’s choice of Ochillo Ayacko as the flag bearer in the upcoming senatorial by election, nonetheless maintains that he has no apologies to make over his stand that has stirred controversy.
“I am not against the party leader Raila Odinga but I am against the party’s policies of imposing leaders on the people,” Obado said on Friday during a fundraiser at Rapogi High School, as quoted by the Standard.
As a man with a mission, the Governor says that he will fight to ensure that ODM stops ‘imposing’ leaders on the electorate.
“I have no apologies to make. I will repeat it several times. We must go to the people and seek their opinion. We cannot sit two or three people in an office in Nairobi and make decisions affecting the people. I have rejected it,” he added.
Who will blink first? Raila or Obado?
