At Inooro TV on Tuesday, Kuria, who has been opposing expansion of the executive changed tune, insisting that an expanded cabinet would allow other communities to be in power.

"Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has called for the expansion of the executive to include the position of Prime Minister and two Deputy Prime Ministers saying this will ensure we don’t have only two tribes leading the country," wrote Pauline Njoroge. https://twitter.com/paulinenjoroge/status/1082578397086318592?s=19

Lately, Mr Kuria is fighting internal wars within Jubilee after President Uhuru Kenyatta scolded him over development remarks he made at the eve of New Year in Thika where he accused the state of sidelining Mt Kenya region.

A senior Nation Media Group reporter who spoke in confidence, said Kuria entered the meeting and was seen leaving hurriedly along with his Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro.

"They didn't last long. I saw them walking out after few minutes. It could be that they differed or something like that but I can confirm several MPs allied to Ruto were present," he said.

A close aide of Ruto, Mr David Mokaya could neither deny nor admit but said the team is strictly vetting leaders who will steer Ruto's campaigns.

"I don't want to discuss that. We are constituting various teams and loyalty is very important. We are very optimistic that come 2022, we shall have a strong team."

Mr Kuria has been a key player in Ruto's team from Central Kenya and has openly differed with the president, throwing him into uncertainty following the president's remarks.
