Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria has claimed that he is the second most popular political figure in Kisumu County.
Speaking on Citizen TV during the News Night Show hosted by Hussein Mohamed on Tuesday night, Kuria said that he is the second popular person in the Lakeside city after Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga.
“The gospel according to the handshake is in three versions. The gospel according to Raila and his people, the gospel according to William Ruto and his people and the gospel according to Raila according to President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Kuria.
“And I will go through all these gospels; the Raila people, and I am saying this because you know I frequently visit Kisumu and I am the second most popular person in Kisumu after Raila Odinga,” he said.
Kuria went on to claim that according to people in Luo Nyanza, the handshake means Raila will be President, while President Uhuru Kenyatta will be executive Prime Minister most probably after the 2022 general elections.
“And you know now they believe it is not a question of whether, they believe it is a question of when,” added Kuria before Mohammed quickly reminded him that that was his personal opinion.
Kuria appeared on the show alongside Kandara MP Alice Wahome and Ngunjiri Wambugu of Nyeri Town.
