David Murathe has revealed that he became broke after he ventured into politics.

Murathe who resigned from Jubilee party as Vice Chairman, said he is planning to go back to his former work. 

"Before I joined politics, I was a rich man but I became broke when I joined politics. I was a businessman and now I want to go back to do business after my resignation of the position of vice-chairman in Jubilee party," said Murathe. 

He pointed out that he will start coffee farming and real estate businesses. 

Murathe lauded President Uhuru Kenyatta for providing an enabling environment for Kenyans to conduct their businesses across the country in peace. 

"I'm happy with Uhuru's efforts to ensure that the country is secure now that Kenyans can do businesses everywhere and any time across the country. My plan to go back to business is inevitable," added Murathe. 

He however, said he doesn't regret resigning from his position of vice-chairman in the Jubilee Party. 

"I'm comfortable after I resigned. At the moment I'm contemplating going back to business and forget about life in politics," stated Murathe. 

Murathe was speaking at KTN Television, Point Blank in a past interview with Tony Gachoka.
