Kenya national team Harambee Stars continued their impressive performance against the Flames of Malawi, beating the visitors 1-0 in a mat played at the Moi International Sports Kasarani.
It was Veteran midfielder Francis Kahata who gave Kenya the win after tapping in a perfectly timed cross past Malawian goalkeeper Munthali Brighton.
Malawi made a good start to the game and had chances, however, they couldn't make good use of them. The Flames lost their tempo as the game wore on, while the Stars gained momentum.
The Stars created a few chances and they came closest to breaking the deadlock at the 67th minute when Kahata narrowly missed the target from right fullback Joakins Atudo.
Harambee Stars tactician Sebastian Migne was forced to make two changes to the side that humbled the black stars of Ghana.
Poacher striker Michael Olunga and defender Philemon Otieno were ruled out due to minor injuries. The duo was replaced by Jese Were and Joakins Atudo.
The Stars made it two wins in a row and are high on confidence heading into the next AFCON qualifier game against the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia in October.
