Kisii County Jubilee Youth Leader Isaac Motari is yet to come to terms following the brutal killing of Mr Samuel Ragira alias OCS Ragira.
Ragira was shot dead at Club 36 market in Nairobi on Thursday while defending traders who were being harassed by goons.
Mr Motari revealed that he was expecting Mr Ragira to help in the 2022 campaigns.
I am shocked with Ragira's death because he has been my long time friend. Anytime he was in Kisii town he used alert me so that we can discuss matters political. His death is a blow to me more especially my political ambition," he said.
He appealed to relevant authorities to speed up investigations and ensure the killers are brought to book.
"We had plans that he will help me campaign given that he has been involved in politics for a long time in Nairobi. I'm in tears because I don't know who will help me when time comes for me to vie for a political seat in 2022," added Motari.
Motari threatened to lead youths to demonstrate on Monday should police officers take long to arrest the killers.
