Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga's love for football game is undoubtedly not a secret. He has often showed up when Gor Mahia or Harambee Stars are playing in major games.
On Saturday, Mr Odinga, who was travelling to UK, squeezed himself with other Kenyans at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to watch UEFA Champions League final between Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool.
The game featured Divock Origi, s son to former Harambee Stars striker Mike Okoth, who has since changed nationality to Belgium. Also, Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama was unused substitute for Tottenham in a game they lost 2-0 to the merseysiders.
In the photo posted by Borabu politician Patrick Osero, Odinga is seen making a phone call. Osero said. "At JKIA watching finals with the man on phone. Guess who..."
In a statement, spokesman Dennis Onyango said Mr Odinga would address a gathering at Chatham House on Kofi Annan's legacy, in the memory of the former United Nations Secretary General.
"H.E Raila Odinga leaves the country this evening for a visit to the United Kingdom and Russia.Mr. Odinga is scheduled to speak at the Chatham House on the Legacy of the former UN Secretary General the late Dr Kofi Annan. The memorial event runs between 3rd and 4th June in London," he said.
After the United Kingdom tour, Mr Odinga will travel to Russia where he will be attending an Economic Conference at St Petersburg. He is scheduled to address sessions on global Energy Sector.
"From London, Mr. Odinga will travel to St. Petersburg, Russia for the St. Petersburg Economic Conference at the invitation of the Russian government.
"He will address sessions on global Energy Sector Challenges and Opportunities, the Russia-Africa Business Dialogue focusing on Investment and Trade and Building a Network of High-Quality Roads," added the statement.
