President Uhuru Kenyatta appears to be on a legacy-shaping spree.
Critical to his legacy will be his contribution to infrastructural development in different parts of the country.
As part of his infrastructural development legacy, the Lamu-Garissa-Isiolo road is being constructed.
According to a tweet by the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD), the construction of the road is ongoing and is scheduled to be opened in 2022, just two years shy of the end of President Uhuru's two-term tenure.
"Kenya’s Progress on #LAPSSET 1. Construction of special economic zones underway2. Lamu-Garissa- Isiolo Road construction is ongoing. Expected to be opened to motor-ability in 2020#BlueEconomyKe," the tweet read.
The road will doubtless open up Garissa County to the rest of the country.
