Chege claims that people opposed to the Jubilee government development agenda want to cause frictions in the government for their own interests.

Speaking to journalists in Murang’a Town on Monday, Chege said that the forces are well known and feel threatened by Jubilee's unity in regards to the 2022 politics.

She said that President Kenyatta’s good working relationships with DP Ruto has made some people jealous.

“We know the people who are against UhuRuto unity and doing everything to cause mayhem in the party,” she said.

Chege, however, said that the unity between Uhuru and Ruto is unbreakable.

She said that the two leaders vowed to work together and nothing will separate them.

“Jubilee and UhuRuto are united beyond 2022 and prophets of doom predicting fallout should be warned,” she said.

Chege said that the country is united under Jubilee, adding that Kenyans have confidence in the Uhuru-led government.

There have been reports of internal fights between Jubilee party members allied to President Kenyatta and DP Ruto over the 2022 succession debate.

The rifts were further fuelled by a vernacular song ‘Hatuna Deni, kitaeleweka’ that insinuates that Mt Kenya may not support DP Ruto in 2022.

The party is planning for a retreat to iron out the alleged differences and rifts among members as the 2022 succession debate gains momentum.
