Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura has admitted that he spends most of his time either in foreign countries or while travelling to and from the country.
Speaking on Saturday, the Jubilee Party nominee admitted that he is hardly ever in the country, and has been spending most of his time away.
However, he said that he is not out to explore the world using his position as senate nominee to represent the interests of persons living with disabilities.
Instead, he noted that he is doing his job which includes championing for the rights of persons with disabilities across the globe.
"Let people who say that I live in the skies while moving from one could try to the other be informed that I am just doing my work, I am busy representing my people," he said.
Mwaura was speaking on Mazungumzo Waziwazi radio show on Radio Jambo early Saturday.
He noted that he is on the right track so far, saying that his ability to carry out his roles was one of the reasons why President Uhuru Kenyatta entrusted him with the job.
"I was given the job and I will do it," he added.
Mwaura was nominated to the house after unsuccessfully contesting for the Ruiru parliamentary seat in the 2017 elections.
He was initially nominatd to the National Assembly by the opposition's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party before defecting to Jubilee ahead of the 2017 polls.
