Most youths are always excited whenever they meet new friends on social media.
However, it is a different case for Hillary Maiyo, a 24-year-old journalism graduate in Eldoret after what he experienced in one of the hotels in the town.
Hillary was the happiest man in the world after he fell in love with a 'beautiful girl' he met on Facebook.
"At first, I was attracted to her cute and fashioned photos always taken in posh places and her appearance and profile, in general, was stunning," said Hillary.
He added that he could no longer withstand the beauty of the lady and decided to approach her by sending her a private message on her inbox.
“The conversation went on smoothly and within no time we were in love," he said.
Hillary reveals how excited he was and even started sending money to his new found lover.
They used to chat day and night and hold long phone conversations.
Last weekend, the couple decided to meet face to face for the first time in Eldoret town.
“I had to send her Sh1500 as bus fare since she alleged that she resides in Nairobi and works as a model. That was not a big issue for me because I was eager to meet the girl of my dream," said Hillary.
However, when Hillary arrived at the hotel where they were scheduled to meet, he was utterly shocked to see a totally different lady from the one he had been chatting with.
“Her looks were totally different from the photos she posts online. In reality, I was chatting with a lady almost the age of my mum. I could not believe my eyes," he said.
Hillary confessed to having abandoned the lady at the hotel.
