The loss of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party in the recent Ugenya and Embakasi South constituency by-elections has continued to elicit sharp reactions countrywide.
The state of the party ahead of the upcoming 2022 general elections has been questioned.
Firebrand Kapseret MP, Oscar Sudi while congratulating Julius Mawathe and David Ochieng who clinched Embakasi South and Ungenya’s parliamentary seats respectively pardoned ODM politicians who talked ill of Deputy President William Ruto during the campaigns.
Sudi mentioned the names of Senator Cleophas Malala, James Orengo, ODM party Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna and ODM aspirant Irshad Sumra among those he has forgiven.
“We forgive all those shenanigans who spoke ill about Dr. William Ruto in the just concluded campaigns. The likes of Edwin Sifuna, Cleophas Malala, James Orengo and Irshad Sumra; we forgive them unconditionally,” reads part of Oscar Sudi’s post on Facebook.
The outspoken legislator further challenged Orengo who has threatened to table a motion to impeach DP Ruto to compare the Karans's leadership and that of Ochieng who will now serve as the MP for Ugenya which is also in Orengo’s area of jurisdiction.
“I want to challenge Senator James Orengo that moving forward, I want him to compare the leadership between Chris Karan and David Ochieng' and I can bet it will be a world of a difference. Kenyans want development oriented leaders and not sycophants with empty rhetorics,” Sudi added.
