Speaking at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani in Nairobi, during an Akorino function, Uhuru lashed out at a section of Jubilee Party leaders over claims of disrespecting him.

He said that the team, which has been going around the nation politicking, has been using political rallies to demean him, forgetting that he is the reason why they were elected.

However, speaking on Tuesday, Wanga said that the rant was actually aimed at Ruto who has assembled a team engaging in early politicking ahead of his 2022 presidential bid.

"President Uhuru’s message was meant for DP Ruto who is the one moving troops to daily campaigns," said the MP in an interview on Citizen TV's Day Break, Tuesday morning.

She observed that that President showed clear indications of anger which are justifiable as the DP and his team have, for almost an entire year, defied all his calls to shun politics.

She hoped that things will now fall in line after the head of state read the riot act to the group.

"The President was visibly agitated and I can see why it has almost been a year since he asked people to focus on development and not politics. I, therefore, expect his troops to fall in line," she said.

However, a group of Jubilee MPs have instead come out to bash the President for his conduct, while the Deputy President remains silent on the entire debate.
