The ODM governor has summoned MPs to give suggestions to their preferred candidates for Chief Officer positions ahead of formal recruitment.

A source privy to the meeting said MPs Vincent Kemosi, Shadrack Mose, Joash Nyamoko and Ben Momanyi, had demanded that Nyagarama awards their allies Health, Roads and Finance departments.

"The governor was not ready for the conversation. He jjust wanted them to hand the list of their preferred candidates and leave the rest to him.

"When they insisted, he stood his ground and this annoyed the MPs who stormed out," said the source.

Successful applicants were shortlisted on Tuesday and they are expected to appear before CPSB for grilling.

Ideally, these jobs are lobbied and ones political connections helps in the final outcome.

Asked about the meeting, Communication Director Kefa Miller denied knowledge over the same.

"I am not aware of the meeting. In fact am hearing it for the first time. This could be just a propaganda," he said.

MPs arrived in a Kisumu hotel on a Saturday before walking out unceremoniously on Sunday.
